Street Photography: The Bellevue CBH Wheat Silo

These photos were taken in January 2015

Once an icon of the Midland/Midvale area, the Bellevue CBH Wheat Silo stretched far and high down Elgee Road. It's hard to illistrate how massive this structure was. While it opened in 1955, it was closed for decades before being demolished in 2016.

A small section was retained on the corner of Eglee Road and Robinson Road for future heritage reasons, but this too was demolished in 2020.

Currenty, the site is home to the Bellevue Railcar Manufacturing and Assembly Facility.
