The sole resident of Fremantle Harbour

In the 1960s, Fremantle Harbour expanded. Before this time, North Fremantle was full of worker's cottages. In those days, it was common to live close to where you worked. Sounds nice! Carmel Mullally lived in one of those cottages on Bayly Street, close to Port Beach.

The entire street was eventually bought out for port expansion, but Carmel continued to refuse increasing offers. Remind you of a late 90s movie? As the decades went on, a port storage yard eventually surrounded her house. Today, the house still stands. Let's delve into the details!
