What Remains of the Belmont Railway Spur?
From 1885 to 1956, the Belmont Spur Line, also known as the Belmont Branch and the Perth Racecourse Railway, ran from the Eastern Line in Bayswater, across the Swan River and terminated at the Ascot Racecourse. It was notable for specially designed carriages that could transport up to 60 horses per train. Nearly 70 years after demolition, I follow and recreate the former trainline on my bike. What will I discover?
